At The Smugglers Rest, every room is a little different. The building has plenty of character, and we’ve kept that individuality rather than making everything uniform. Some rooms are better suited to longer, slower stays, while others are ideal if you’re here to explore the North Devon coast and simply need somewhere comfortable to recharge.

Hartland and Lundy are our most luxurious rooms. Both have freestanding slipper baths, generous space and that extra touch of comfort that makes them perfect for a special occasion or a relaxed coastal break.

Croyde is our cosier, more cost-effective option. It’s beautifully finished but more compact, so it tends to suit shorter stays or guests who plan to spend most of their time out on the beach or walking the coast path.

All of our rooms are en-suite and include quality linen, soft towels and luxury toiletries. You’ll also find a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV, complimentary tea and coffee, and a few homemade biscuits waiting for you.

Breakfast is included in all our room rates and is served in the bistro between 8:30am and 9:30am each morning.

Please note that all bedrooms are located on the first and second floors. As a traditional coastal property, we don’t have ground floor rooms or lift access.
